After numerous conversations with other mompreneurs about how difficult it is to find out about conferences…and which ones are worth the investment…I decided to make a list. We all know that funds are limited and nothing is worse than paying to exhibit or sponsor an even only to find out it is a dud.

I can’ do it alone…I need your constant on going input. Send me info about upcoming conferences, post comments about conferences you’ve attended that were worth the investment and those that are definitely NOT.

My goal is to be able to create a list that will help you make educated decisions about the conferences in which you will invest and participate.

A conference I recently heard about is M2Moms (Marketing to Moms) presented by Nick’s ParentsConnect.com (www.m2moms.com) . The conference is being held Oct. 22 & 23 in Chicago. On the site they say that when you attend this conference “you’ll get actionable content you can use now!”.

Conference Description listed on their site:

“M2Moms® is a two-day conference featuring a series of general sessions, keynotes, workshops, and roundtable discussions. Breakfast, lunch and breaks on both days, as well as receptions on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, add to the collegial ambiance and will help you maximize your networking and peer-to-peer learning opportunities.”

Some of the speakers listed are:

  • Tanya Van Court –SVP, Preschool & Parents Online for Nickelodeon and MTVN Kids and Family Group
  • Aimee Gerry – West Coast Director of Sales for SheKnows
  • Stacy DeBroff – Founder & CEO of Mom Central Consulting
  • Kara Forney – Founder of The Bump Media, Inc. and Vice President and Publishing Director of The Bump

Conference Fee: $1895.00

Fee Includes: Research, general sessions, workshops, clinics, continental breakfasts, keynotes, luncheons, on-going refreshments, receptions, and complete conference documentation.

Who should attend: Anyone looking to market their product to moms.

Have you attended this conference? Are you planning on attending this conference? If so, please let use know the following: is it worth the fee, how many people attended, how were the workshops, how were the speakers, what was the thing you liked most about the conference, what was the thing you liked least, were you a sponsor and/or speaker if so how did you get that opportunity, would you attend the conference again? We appreciate your time and feedback….it will help others make educated decisions.

Know of a conference not listed please send me an email sdavis@beyondmotherhood.com

Wishing you continued success with your business!

“At Count Me In believe that entrepreneurship equals leadership. So what does it take to be an entrepreneurial leader?  In business and in life it takes part vision and discipline, part creativity and tenacity, part risk-taker and earth-shaker, part courage, confidence and commitment. It also takes a strong community.  That’s where we come in.  Because we believe in the power of women entrepreneurs, we’ve created the Count Me In Leadership Institute (http://www.makemineamillion.org/site/index.php?id=198) to help you nurture and enhance that power to successfully grow your business and yourself. We’ve selected topics you’ve told us are important to you, taught by the experts you’ve come to know and love.  You’ll experience hands-on in-depth workshops, wisdom circles, expert panels, elevator pitch updates, creative visioning.  Most of all, there will be lots of time to share with and learn from each other, one of the hallmarks of the Count Me In community.  ”
